Information to the applicant  The congregation has three named scholarships for use by children of congregants to spend time in Israel. They are:

The Krantman Scholarship Award

The Jacob D. and Freda Sacklow Israel Scholarship

The Rabbi Baruch Frydman-Kohn Israel Scholarship

If you are applying for one of the named scholarships, we require that you submit an essay describing: 1) the nature of the program you have chosen, what you hope to achieve by participating in such a program in general and in this particular program specifically; 2) the nature of your connection to the Jewish people and to the congregation, and 3) something about who you are and who you hope to become.

In addition to the named scholarships, the congregation believes that the child of every congregant should be helped and encouraged to spend time in Israel or other programs with significant Jewish content, and therefore, we attempt to provide some assistance to each applicant through the General Scholarship Fund. If you are applying for a general scholarship, this application alone serves as the application the General Scholarship Fund, and therefore no essay is required.

Deadline for submission to the congregational office is April 28, 2008.  If you have any questions, please call the congregational office at 489-4706 or call Anne Pfeffer at 482-7057.
